We love a good cobbler, especially when the weather starts to warm up and the sun comes out more. Plus, this makes a tasty budget dessert for any spring or summer occasion!

Not only do we enjoy this easy cake mix peach cobbler for an after dinner dessert, but it is also a hit at family gatherings. It’s also perfect for potlucks!

We love adding it to our 4th of July fruit dessert table. Peaches are one of our favorite summer fruits and our 4th of July guests love it.

Easy Peach Cobbler Ingredients

  • 16 oz package of frozen peaches
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 (16.25 oz) box vanilla or white cake mix
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 14 tbsp unsalted butter-cut into 30 pieces

How to make the Easy Cake Mix Peach Cobbler

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

While the oven is warming up, lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

In a mixing bowl, combine the frozen peaches, brown sugar, corn starch, lemon juice, and cinnamon.

Pour the peach mixture into the greased baking dish.

In a separate bowl combine the cake mix and the cinnamon. Combine well and then sprinkle this mix over the peaches.

Evenly place the butter slices all over the top of the cake mix. Be sure to space them somewhat evenly go that it gets a good bake.

Bake for 40-45 min, turning the dish half way through and finish cooking until the cobber is golden and bubbly. If you notice any dry spots, you can add a few more slices of butter.

Tips when it comes to the easy peach cobbler with cake mix:

Using canned peaches will make the cobbler juicy. If you prefer juicy, you can substitute frozen peaches for canned.

If you want a thinner crust on the cobbler, use 3/4 of the cake mix instead of the entire bag.

You can top with whipped cream or ice cream for even more flavor and to make an extra special dessert.
