What do I need to make a peach cobbler with frozen peaches and cake mix?
Frozen Peaches: Grab a bag of frozen beaches at the store. For this recipe, we used a 16 oz bag.
Brown Sugar: A light brown sugar will give the peach cobbler dessert some sweetness.
Cornstarch: Just a 1/2 tablespoon.
Lemon Juice: You can never go wrong with a splash of lemon juice. It will complement the peaches.
Cinnamon: We use cinnamon for the peach cobbler topping and the filling.
Vanilla or White Cake Mix: You can use either. We have made it with both, so it’s all about preference.
Butter: You will slice the butter into small pieces to help melt and form the topping.

Easy Cake Mix Peach Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients
- 16 oz package of frozen peaches
- 1/3 c light brown sugar
- 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 box vanilla or white cake mix
- 14 tbsp unsalted butter-cut into 30 pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- While the oven is warming up, lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the frozen peaches, brown sugar, corn starch, lemon juice, and 1 tsp of cinnamon.
- Pour the peach mixture into the greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl combine the cake mix and the 1 tsp cinnamon. Combine well and then sprinkle this mix over the peaches.
- Evenly place the butter slices all over the top of the cake mix. Be sure to space them somewhat evenly go that it gets a good bake.
- Bake for 40-45 min, turning the dish half way through and finish cooking until the cobber is golden and bubbly. If you notice any dry spots, you can add a few more slices of butter.
Can I make this as muffins?
I have never tried making these as muffins so I can’t promise they will turn out as expected. If you attempt it let me know how they turn out!
Can you make this with fresh peaches… if so, how many???
I made it once with fresh peaches, it turned out ok but I liked the frozen better. Around 3 cups.. you can adjust for more or less.
