How to make the Teddy Bear Oreo Cookies for Valentines Day
Melt the chocolate and dip all of the Oreos in the chocolate to coat them completely. A fork can help you remove the Oreos from the chocolate easily. It also helps keep the process a little less messy!
Once you have removed the Oreos from the chocolate, lightly tap off the excess chocolate. Then, let them sit for about 5 mins.
Pour the excess chocolate into a piping bag or ziplock bag and set it aside until we are ready to use it.
For the nose, you want to carefully add a chocolate wafer. Then, add the sprinkles for the eyes. Let these dry for about 20 minutes.
After those have dried, reheat the chocolate in the piping bag for 15-20 seconds in the microwave. Use it to glue on the heart for the nose and the ears.
Allow the bear face to chill in the fridge for 15 minutes to make sure the chocolate has set and the cookies can be handled.
Adding the teddy bear Oreo cookies to cupcakes
If you want to add the teddy bear Oreo cookies to cupcakes, it’s easy to do. Just pipe frosting onto your cupcakes and place the bear faces. You can choose to have the faces (the Oreo cookies) standing up or lying down.
To help hold the ears in place while they dry, you can use folded paper towels to keep them from moving.
Once those have been set, your cupcakes should be ready to go!
