Delicious, easy to make, and affordable, these Texas Toast Sloppy Joes are perfect for weeknights. Use store bought sloppy joe sauce or make your own!

Growing up I never liked sloppy joes. I just didn’t like the flavor. As I got older and we were trying to budget a little better, I gave the meaty sandwiches another go. At that time, store bought sloppy joes was inexpensive and it could be customized.

While we still use the store bought sloppy joe sauce once in a while, I still prefer to make my own. Once I fine tune the exact measurements I use, I plan on sharing that recipe. It’s just a simple mixture of brown sugar, ketchup, mustard and some spices so it’s easy and affordable.
