Halloween Scavenger Hunt
Make a list of Halloween-themed items that you can find around the house or in the yard. For instance, you can hide small toys, Halloween treats, or spooky decorations in different places. Give the kids the list and send them out to find each of the items.
The first one to find all the items on the list wins a special Halloween prize! If you have a good number of children, you can separate them into teams to play.
Ghost Story Circle
Great for children young and old, having a ghost story circle can be a fun activity for kids to play. Have the kids sit in a circle and take turns telling spooky ghost stories. They can make up their own ghostly stories and get as creative as they want.
To make it even more fun, you can shut the lights off and have them use a flashlight or phone to tell the stories.
Halloween Bingo
Bingo is always one of the easiest Halloween kids party games! This free printable Halloween bingo game will be a fun game that both kids and adults can play.
Just print out the cards, cut them, and pass them out to players. You can use candy as markers and give away some fun Halloween prizes.
Halloween Kids Party Games: Toilet Paper Mummies.
When we were little, we loved taking rolls of toilet paper and wrapping ourselves like a mummy. It’s so simple but it really is a lot of fun. The kids will have a blast wrapping each other up as mummies.
To play the game, simply set up teams. Normally, we have 2 wrappers and 1 mummy, but you can adjust it to fit your party. Decide how many rolls of toilet pet each team gets. The first one to use up all of the toilet paper to make the mummy wins.

Mummy Judging Contest
Kids can be creative so coming up with some creative ways to make a mummy can be fun. As mentioned above, you can use toilet paper to create a mummy. If you don’t want to waste the t.p., have the children use various clothing to make themselves, or their partner, a mummy. Colors can be wild and once everyone sees the clothed mummies, everyone will get a good laugh.
Creepy Mummy Coffin Touch and Guess Party Game
I love the concept of this creepy mummy coffin touch and guess game. Guessing games are always fun for parties and this one allows the kids to really get in there. To play the game, buckets are filled with authentic items that would be creepy to touch and the kids will have to touch and guess what it is.
Monster Freeze Dance
This is one of our favorite Halloween games for kids. It gets them moving and having fun. To prep for the game, make a playlist of Halloween-themed songs. To play the game, play the songs and have the kids dance around like silly monsters.
When the music stops, have the kids freeze in monster poses. The last one to freeze is out of the game.. or the one with the silliest pose can choose the next Halloween song.
Pumpkin Bowling
You can get as creative as you want with pumpkin bowling. For the pins, you can have the children create their own Halloween-themed bowling pins with cans, plastic jars, plastic cups, etc.
Use pumpkins instead of bowling balls. If small children are playing, you can use gourds so they can easily roll them. Amazon has a cute candy corn bowling set that would be fun too!
Halloween Balloon Darts
This is a fun Halloween game for older children. Each year we would blow up a bunch of orange balloons and tape them to a large piece of cardboard. Behind the balloons, we would also tape a piece of paper with a prize on it.
Prizes were simple but something the kids would enjoy. For instance, a free day without any chores, an extra piece of dessert, or an extra piece of candy. You don’t have to go all out if you don’t want to, the kids will still have fun!
The kids would throw the darts and whichever balloon they popped would tell them what prize they would get. The kids had a blast with the balloon dart game.
Halloween Spider Race Party Game
A fast-paced Halloween game for kids, spider races will be full of excitement and fun for the whole family.
Witch’s Hat Ring Toss
To get the Halloween game for kids started, you will want to create a witch’s hat using a tall cone-shaped hat or a cardboard cutout. Once you have your witch’s hat, place it on the ground and have the kids toss rings to try and land them on the pointy tip of the hat.
If you want to get creative, you can use glow-in-the-dark bracelets or hula hoops for the rings. You can hang the hat from something or make small witch hats for even more fun.
Gourd Tossing Game
This is a fun game for smaller children. Those little gourds can be easily picked up by little hands so they should be able to toss them.
To get this game up all you need are some small gourds and a bucket of some kind. If you don’t have a bucket, you can use a large bowl, box, or container. To play the game, the kids can “toss” their gourd and try to make it in the bucket.
Let the kids get creative and decorate or paint their buckets for extra fun. They will love it!
Coloring Contest
Let the kids have fun by having a coloring contest for Halloween! Print out some free printable spooky coloring pages for Halloween themed coloring sheets. Have the kids color the pages and then see who does the best. It doesn’t even have to be a competition, just a fun activity for the kids to do!
Catch a Pumpkin Ring Toss
A simple game that is easy to set up and fun to play! All you have to do is set the pumpkins in a line or side by side and have the kids toss rings to see if they can “catch a pumpkin”.
For the rings, you can usually find those neon glow in the dark rings that are popular for trick or treating. Those work perfectly for a pumpkin ring toss game.
Tip: You can even use witch hats in exchange for the pumpkins!
The Scientist Game
Not so much a game, but more of a fun activity for the kids. The Scientist is all about doing fun science experiments for Halloween.
The kids will love seeing what they can create and they will be learning along the way!
Spider Web Obstacle Course
Create a spider web-like maze on the floor with tape. To play the Halloween game for kids, they will have to move their way through the web without touching the tape.
Pumpkin Tic Tac Toe
A real life-size game of tic tac toe is fun. To make it Halloween-style, simply take small pumpkins and paint Xs and Os on them.
Make your own tic tac toe board on the ground or a table. You can use sidewalk chalk, tape, or even string to make the board.
Pumpkin Relay Race
No party is complete without playing a fun relay game. For Halloween, the kids can try to hold the pumpkins between their legs and race to the finish line.
If you don’t want to use pumpkins or are setting this up for younger children, you can use balloons or balls to make the Halloween Kids Party Games even more fun.
