I love easy crafts and one of my favorite crafts to make is a wreath, especially during the holidays. In fact, I have quite a few wreaths stashed away and it drives my family nuts! They don’t understand why you need so many but I think wreaths just make the door so much more inviting.

Making your own easy Christmas grapevine wreath is a great budget friendly holiday activity that you can do with the family. The kids will love getting creative and helping you design the wreath using their favorite Christmas flowers.

This easy Christmas grapevine wreath is so easy and it’ll look great on any door during the holidays. The best part is that it only takes a few minutes to throw together.

Another thing I love about this easy Christmas grapevine wreath is that you can customize the colors and flowers to your liking. You can go with red and white accents to match your candy cane decor or even use nontraditional holiday colors.

Fun gifting tip: Last year we made a holiday wreath and stuck dollar bills inside of it for a cash gifting party. It was a hit because it was such a creative way to give cash for Christmas.

Supplies needed:

  • Grapevine wreath (this one came from Joann’s, but you can get them just about anywhere)
  • Red sparkle bow (this came from the Dollar Tree and you can get any color you’d like)
  • 4 Christmas picks (choose your favorite style, these came from Joann’s but Dollar General has picks too). Amazon also has some really cute floral picks.
  • Optional: zip ties or hot glue gun if you don’t plan on reusing the wreath

If you don’t plan on using the wreath again, you can use zip ties or a hot glue gun to keep the pieces of the wreath permanent.

We like to reuse the grapevine wreaths to create new wreaths over and over so we don’t typically need the zip ties or glue gun.

What are Christmas picks?

Christmas picks are floral pieces that you can get just about anywhere they sell floral decorations. They are single flowers with skinny stems and you can easily manipulate the stems to create different things.

How to Put Together This Easy Christmas Grapevine Wreath

To start, we need to bend the bottom part of the picks so that they will slide in between the grapevine sticks. Then, just stick the picks in to get your desired look. You can manipulate and move them around to your liking.

Next, use the twist tie on the back of the bow to attach it to some of the grapevine pieces.

Tip: If you want to keep everything in place on this easy Christmas grapevine wreath, it’s easy to do so with zip ties or a hot glue gun. You can use either to secure the accents in place. I don’t recommend doing this if you want to reuse the wreath in the future.
