How cute would this mason jar lid snowman ornament look on the tree? I’d say super cute and it’s made from Dollar Tree supplies so it’s inexpensive!
It’s also an easy snowman ornament the kids can help make for the holidays. As with most of our ornament crafts, it does use a hot glue gun and paint so adult supervision is recommended.

How to Make this Cute Snowman Mason Jar Lid Ornament
As mentioned above, this is a super cute mason jar lid snowman ornament that you can make from inexpensive supplies.
Supplies Needed:
You can find everything at the Dollar Tree so it makes a fun budget friendly Christmas activity to do with the kids.
- Mason Jar lid (grab the one with a metal inner circle)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Black and Orange Fine Point Sharpie (to make the face)
- Paint Brush
- White Chalk Paint
- Scissors
- Black and White Checkered Ribbon
Dollar Tree Snowman Ornament Made from Mason Jar Lid
Start by hot gluing the inner rim of the mason jar to the inner metal piece. This is going to be the start of our snowman face.
Next, using white chalk paint, paint the entire mason jar lid white. Once you paint the lid, if you see that the lid is still showing through the paint, add another coat. We ended up using 2 coats.
Cut about a 6-inch section of the black and white checkered ribbon. Using hot glue, glue the ribbon to the inside of the mason jar lid.
Once the glued ribbon is completely dry, use the black fine point sharpie or marker and draw 2 circles for the eyes. Then, draw smaller circles to form the mouth
To finish off the face, use the orange fine point sharpie to draw the triangle on its side for the nose
You may want to give it a few minutes for the face to dry. Once the mason jar lid snowman ornament is dry, you can hang it on the tree and enjoy it during the holidays.
