DIY Top Hat Jenga Ornament
Top Hat Ornament Made From Jenga Blocks
You only need a few supplies for this Jenga ornament, all of which you can find at the Dollar Tree.
- 3 Dollar Tree Jenga pieces
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Black paint
- Dollar Tree Jute Twine
- Dollar Tree mini bows (they come in red and green)
- Paint Brush
Instructions:
Start by hot gluing two of the Jenga pieces’ sides together. .Then, glue one of the Jenga pieces to the bottom. It should now look like the picture below.
Paint the front and sides with black paint. You can paint the backside if you want, but you don’t have to.
Add a dab of hot glue to the back of the top hat and wrap the jute twine around it. For this, we wrapped it around 3 times to be sure it would stay in place. You can also add a dab of glue to the end to keep it from moving.
Cut a 6-inch piece of the jute twine and attach it to the backside of the top hat with a dab of hot glue.
To finish it off, add a dab of hot glue to the bow and place it on the front. Apply a little pressure to make sure that it stays secure.
Once the Jenga ornament is finished, and the glue has dried, you can hang it on the tree. The kids loved helping with this. We did help with the hot glue part but they loved painting and placing the bow.
For even more fun, the kids can use other paint colors to decorate the hat for Christmas!
