We love making handprint crafts! This handprint cactus paper craft is a fun summer project the kids can do. We also used it to learn more about cacti, the weather, geography, and more.

I love that this handprint cactus paper craft can be made in just a few minutes. Kids can get really creative with designing them by using different materials.

Materials Needed:

• Green cardstock – you can also use construction paper
• Scissors
• Pearl & Gemstone stickers – we purchased a large batch of stickers that had a ton of different designs, including the pearl and the gemstones.
• Marker or pen

How to make this Handprint Cactus Craft with Paper

This handprint cactus craft is super easy to put together. Here is how to make this cute handprint paper cactus craft.

1. Trace your child’s hand on each cardstock. Then cut each handprint out.
2. Use your marker to draw lines all on the paper hand to make it look like cactus “spikes”.
3. Lastly, stick the gemstones or pearl stickers around the handprint cacti.

Notes & Tips

• You can add a face if you want! Just have the kids draw faces on the paper handprints or use the stickers to make the face.
• Any colors and sticker designs can be used. You’re not limited here, get creative with different styles! Purchase a large pack of stickers (we love these) and let the kids decorate the Handprint Cactus Paper Craft with any of the stickers.
• Use brown paper to create a pot to make for the handprint cactus.
• Glue a popsicle stick to the back of the paper handprint cactus to create a fun cactus fan or puppet.
