This crockpot lasagna recipe made with Prego traditional sauce is delicious and easy to make.

I love all things crockpot. I love those dump-and-go recipes and not having to worry about what I’m going to fix for dinner that night. With the slow cooker, it’s just a matter of letting cook and enjoying it when it’s finished.

One of our family favorites has become slow cooker lasagna. Years ago, before we tried it, I was skeptical. I didn’t think the crockpot would fully cook the noodles and didn’t think it would taste as good.

Well, I was wrong. In fact, our family now prefers lasagna made in the crockpot. This is great for me because that is less time I have to spend in the kitchen!

  • 1 c. chopped onion

  • 64 oz Prego Traditional
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 15 oz. ricotta cheese
  • 16 oz. bag mozzerala cheese
  • 8-10 large uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. parmesan

How to make this crockpot lasagna recipe:

In a large skillet, combine the ground beef, onion, and minced garlic and cook until the meat is browned.

Add in the Prego, sugar, oregano, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.

Simmer for 15 minutes.

While our sauce is simmering, grab a medium-sized bowl and mix together the ricotta cheese, eggs, and parmesan.

Grease the bottom of the crockpot. Then, put a layer of the sauce mixture down.

Add a layer of lasagna noodles. You will have to break these to make them fit.

Add another layer of sauce, then a layer of the ricotta mixture, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.

Repeat the sauce, noodles, sauce ricotta, mozzerala layers until you have no more sauce.

Allow to rest and then serve with your favorite bread. We love breadsticks, either homemade or store-bought.
