Ingredients Needed To Make Captain Crunch French Toast

Texas toast bread: Texas Toast is a thicker sliced bread that’s perfect for French toast. It gives you that fluffy and filling toast pieces. If you don’t have Texas Toast, you can use any type of bread.

Eggs: Eggs are used to make the batter for French toast.

Milk: Any type of milk you want to use should work. We use 2% milk.

Captain Crunch Cereal: The cereal is going to give this breakfast toast a boost of fun flavors and is what makes this unique.

French Toast with Captain Crunch Cereal Recipe

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices Texas toast bread (thickly sliced)
  • 2 Eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 cup Cap’n Crunch Cereal
Easy French Toast with Captain Crunch

Instructions:

  • Whisk the eggs and milk in a medium sized bowl until completely blended.
  • In a food processor (or in a ziplock bag and crumble up as much as you can) grind the cereal until it has the consistency of coarse salt. Then put in a separate medium sized bowl.
  • Grab a slice of bread and soak it in the bowl with egg and milk, let any excess drain off. Then, dip it in the cereal until the whole slice of bread is covered with Cap’n Crunch cereal.
  • Put a pan on medium heat, add some cooking butter or cooking spray, and cook your slices until golden brown on the outside. It usually takes about 2-4 minutes on either side.
  • Serve warm on some fancy plates with a sprinkle of confectioners sugar or your favorite syrup.
