Waffle Bowl Recipe

We love our breakfast casseroles, but sometimes it is good to have something a little lighter. When we are looking for a healthy breakfast that’s light, we go with these waffle bowls. We fill them with fruit and top them with some whipped cream and we have a tasty breakfast.

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup oat milk (or any non-dairy milk)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

**We did use a waffle bowl maker for this recipe. It is less than $20 and has come in really handy and we love making different desserts and breakfasts with it.

How to make this Vegan Waffle Bowl Recipe with Fresh Fruit

Start by mixing all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl and whisk until mixed. Then add your wet ingredients and whisk them all together until you have a smooth consistency.

You can also just dump all of the ingredients into a large bowl and whisk everything until it is lump-free. Just make sure everything is mixed well.

Put about ½ cup of the batter into your waffle maker (depending on how big your waffle maker is). The waffle bowl should be filled only about half full.

Once the waffle is golden brown on the outside, take it out and add your favorite fruits. You can add some whipped cream and other toppings you like on top.

If you don’t want whipped cream.. maple syrup, chocolate syrup, or even a sprinkle of confectioners sugar would be good too.

If you have a favorite waffle recipe, you can use that too! This would make a delicious brunch recipe. We love making it when the kids have friends over or when we want a healthy filling snack.
