What Can I Top The Fruit With?

If you don’t want whipped cream there are a variety of other things you can use as a topping.

  • maple syrup
  • chocolate syrup
  • a sprinkle of confectioners sugar

What Kind of Fruit Should I Use?

Any type of fruit you want! Strawberries, blueberries, and bananas are our favorite fruits to enjoy in this bowl. We love these toppings on any of our waffle recipes. Mix it up and do a combination of your favorite fresh fruits.

How to make this Vegan Waffle Bowl Recipe with Fresh Fruit

Start by mixing all of the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt) in a large bowl and whisk until mixed.

Next, add your wet ingredients (apple cider vinegar and oat milk) and whisk them all together until the batter is nice and smooth. You don’t want clumps.

You can also just dump all of the ingredients into a large bowl and whisk everything until it is lump-free. Just make sure everything is mixed well. This is how my kids think it should be done!

Put about ½ cup of the batter into your waffle maker (depending on how big your waffle maker is). The waffle bowl should be filled only about half full.

Once the waffle is golden brown on the outside, take it out and add your favorite fruits. You can add some whipped cream and other toppings you like on top.
