Easy Recipe for Pepperoni Pizza Casserole
Who doesn’t love pizza? Our favorite is pepperoni pizza so turning it into a filling casserole dish is an easy way we can get that flavor, in a more filling way.
What you need to make this Pepperoni Pizza Casserole Recipe:
- 16 oz rotini pasta noodles, cooked al dente
- 24 oz pizza sauce
- 2 tbsp italian seasoning
- 16 oz mozzarella cheese, divided
- 6 oz pepperoni slices, divided
We use this casserole dish to make it in and love it. It’s handy and has been sturdy for us.
How to make pepperoni pizza casserole:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
- Cook the rotini pasta according to package directions. You don’t want to overcook them, you want the noodles to be al dente.
- As the noodles are cooking, combine the pizza sauce and the Italian seasoning in a medium bowl.
- Once noodles are al dente, drain them, and put them in a large bowl.
- Stir the sauce in with the noodles.
- Add 12 oz of mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. Stir until combined. Keep about 15 slices of the pepperoni to go on top.
- Pour the pepperoni pizza mixture into a baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the pasta mixture.
- Place the 15 slices of pepperoni we saved back on top of the cheese.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve hot.
