Air Fryer Churros Recipe

Covered with a sweet cinnamon and sugar mixture, these air fryer churros are soft and flakey. As a bonus, since they are air fried they are a healthier dessert that you can enjoy anytime.
While traditional churros are made from flour, salt, oil, sugar, and baking powder, this air fryer churros recipe is a little different. It uses puff pastry dough, melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon.
Air Fryer Churros Recipe
Makes 24 churros
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 6 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry dough, thawed
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees.
- As the air fryer to heating up, cut the puff pastry dough in half. Next, cut each half into one-inch strips.
- Place the strips in your air fryer basket or tray and cook for 6 to 8 minutes. You want the dough to cook until it’s a golden brown.
- Stir together the sugar and cinnamon. We like to do this in a zip lock bag so that we can keep it mess free.
- Immediately after removing them from the air fryer, brush each churro with the melted butter and place in the bag with the cinnamon and sugar. Lightly shake the bag to coat the churro.
