How to Make These Easy Raccoon Cupcakes
To make this an easy treat, we use a boxed cake mix and premade frosting. I know homemade is better, but when you’re on a time crunch the boxed stuff works great. It’s also fairly affordable and you can sometimes save money buying the premade cake mix.
In fact, we always have at least one stashed away in our pantry supply because we like to make different desserts with them. These strawberry cake mix cookies and peach cobbler are a few of our favorite desserts made with cake mix.

Ingredients:
- Chocolate cake box mix + the additional ingredients needed to make the mix (you can also use premade cupcakes)
- Chocolate frosting in a piping bag
- White frosting in a piping bag
- Gray frosting in a piping bag with a star tip
- Sugar deco eyes
How to design these easy raccoon cupcakes:
Bake the cupcakes per the recipe on the box and cool completely. If you are using premade store bought cupcakes, you can skip this step.
Use the chocolate frosting to make the “mask” shape. As you can see, we just made two triangle-like shapes on each side of the cupcake.
Use the white frosting to outline the mask we just made.
Place the candy eyes on top of the chocolate mask so that we have the start of our face.
Use the gray frosting to fill in the remaining areas. This will be the “fur”.
To finish it off, use the chocolate frosting to add a nose and ears on top.
Adorable right?! I love how cute these easy raccoon cupcakes are! The kids will also love them.
