When we plan a trip, we typically focus on the overall schedule. We also focus more on the outline of the things we want to do during the entire trip. We tend to forget about keeping track of or making a plan for daily events and expenses.
I remember my parents planning out each day and following a particular schedule so that we could fit everything in. As a kid, I didn’t understand how planning out your daily travel itinerary could be of use.

Now that we travel more as adults, we want to see and do as much as we can. Especially on our short trips, and I understand why it can be important to have a daily schedule.
When we wanted to check out some Midwest destinations for the family, this daily travel planner would’ve been helpful.
This is just a simple printable daily travel schedule that you can print when you are ready. It features a couple of different sections.
What’s included in the daily travel schedule?
- The first part gives you the chance to write the date, location, and a budget for that day.
- Then, we have the to-do list where you can keep track of some important things you might need to do. For instance, you may want to purchase a gift or get a souvenir from a particular place you visit.
- The expense section allows you to keep track of your daily expenses. For example, you may want to keep track of expenses like eating out, fuel, admission costs, etc.
- With the hourly agenda, you can plan in more detail your events for the day. You can use it to plan the things you want to see. For instance, if you have a show to see, you can keep track of what time it is.
- On the last section, I wanted to include a place to write any misc. notes. You can include anything in this section. You can even keep track of any ideas that may pop up as you plan for the next day.

Our next trip will be a beach getaway in December. We plan to do this so that we can skip the cold weather and enjoy some sun for the holidays. We also have some family that we can visit while we are there.
