Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Spiders Recipe
A special treat for kids, these peanut butter cup spiders are a spooky treat for Halloween. They are also super easy to make and you only need 4 ingredients to create the spiders.
Prep Time 25 minutes mins
Total Time 25 minutes mins
- 12 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (refrigerated)
- ¼ c chocolate chips
- 1-2 c mini pretzels
- Reese’s Pieces
*Refrigerate the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups before starting. This will help prevent the candy from melting while you assemble the spiders. You definitely don’t want to have messy chocolate fingers while putting them together!
Open the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and place them on a plate or pan lined with parchment paper. Leave enough room between the candy’s so that you can place the other ingredients without them touching each other.
Using kitchen scissors, cut the pretzels into smaller pieces to make the spider legs. You can also break them with your hands.
In a small microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips.
Then, taking one pretzel leg at a time, dip one end of the pretzel into the melted chocolate and place it on the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. There should be 4 pretzel legs on each side of the peanut butter cup.
Once the legs are attached, it’s time to add the eyes. Put a little bit of melted chocolate on one side of 2 Reese’s Pieces and place them on the front of the peanut butter cup to make the eyes.
Once all of the Reese’s candy spiders are assembled, refrigerate for at least 10 minutes before serving. This will help any melted chocolate re-harden, keeping the candy spiders intact.
