Green Beans with Brown Sugar and Dijon Mustard
A quick 15 minute side dish recipe for any occasion. These green beans with brown sugar and Dijon mustard are delicious and easy to make.

- 1 ½ tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 ½ tablespoon brown sugar
- 4 c green beans
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ tablespoon butter
- ⅓ c water
Trim the ends off the fresh green beans and place them in a pan with ⅓ cup of water.
Set to medium-high heat and saute the green beans for 6 to 8 minutes. Add in the butter and saute for another 3 minutes.
Test the green beans. They should still be crisp but tender enough to eat. If not cook for a few more minutes until they have reached your desired doneness.
Then, lower heat to low and toss in brown sugar and dijon mustard. Stir thoroughly. The sauce will caramelize onto the green beans.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and remove from heat.
