Start by spray painting one package of the clothespins white. For this wreath, we had to do 2 coats.
The 2nd package of clothespin we will take and soak them in the coffee for a few hours. This will give them that darker color. Once you have soaked them, let them dry.
The 3rd package of clothespins we will use half of. Take the half and paint them with the Pool Waverly chalk paint.
After all of the clothespins have dried, it’s time to put them on the wire wreath. To do this, just clip them onto the inner wire of the wreath alternating the colors as you put them on.
Once all of the clothespins are on, add the shells using the hot glue gun. You can place these however you want, but we decided to go with three on each side. A larger one on top, then two smaller ones under that.
For the relax sign, you can paint it or leave it. For this coastal beach wreath, we chose to paint it with a few coasts of the Pool colored chalk paint. It may take 2 or 3 coats for it to get a complete cover.
You can use some nautical rope to create a hanger on the top or place it on your wreath hanger using the wreath’s wire.
