- 10 ounce bag of pretzels
- 1 stick of unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- ¾ cup sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together the cinnamon and sugar, set aside.
In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in the pretzels making sure they all get coated well.
Add the cinnamon and sugar mixture to the pretzels and toss gently trying to get all the pretzels covered.
Spread the buttery pretzels onto a baking sheet and bake for about 5-10 minutes until they’re to your preference of crispy. Depending on your oven, it may take more or less time. Sometimes double the time. You want the pretzels to be crispy but not burnt so keep an eye on them.
In between cooking (about every 5 minutes) I like to give the pretzels a gentle toss so that they evenly cook.
Remove from the oven and let the pretzels cool completely before transferring them into a container or serving bowl.
- Add more or less cinnamon to fit your taste preference.
- Instead of butter, you can use vegetable oil or coconut oil.
- Pretzel sticks can also be used but keep an eye on the cooking time and adjust as needed.
- Add in allspice, pumpkin, cocoa powder, nutmeg, or cayenne pepper to give the pretzels more flavor or to make them as a seasonal treat.
