Instructions
- Print the Thanksgiving Roll A Story Worksheets. Choose from guided lines for younger kids or regular lines for older kids. There are also versions that leave a space at the top for kids to draw a picture.
- I highly suggest printing the story page where kids will write the character, setting, and problem, and the beginning, middle, and end. This serves as their brainstorming page before they actually write the story.
- After printing, gather a pencil and 1 die.
- Roll the die to determine your character. Write your character on your brainstorming sheet.
- Roll the die again to determine the setting. Write the setting on your brainstorming sheet.
- Roll the die one last time to determine the problem. Write the problem on your brainstorming sheet.
- Next, plan out your story. Use the boxes to write what will happen at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of your story.
- After brainstorming, use the writing page to write out your full story.
- If you need extra room to write, you can print another writing page.
